This spring, given the rapidly unfolding events of the pandemic, we rescheduled the LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour for October. The safety of all participants has always been our top concern, and in the wake of COVID-19 and its continued impacts, we remain dedicated to upholding that commitment. With that in mind, and given the many variables that are beyond our control, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour scheduled for Saturday, October 10.
We know that many of you will be disappointed, and we share that disappointment with you. If you are a registered rider for the 2020 event, you should have received an email from BikeReg with refund and merchandise purchases information. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to resuming the ride in 2021, and we appreciate your support.
National parks depend on the involvement and support of the public. The Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park work in partnership with the National Park Service to support the park in three key areas: education, preservation, and restoration. The LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour is our annual fundraiser for the Park, and without it, we will need to rely even more on financial support from friends like you.
Here's how you can support the Park and Friends Group:
Thank you so much for your support of the LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour. We very much hope to see you in 2021 and will keep you posted about any updates regarding next year's ride and other activities.
